After Lenten Promises

Hello my growing, learning and Catholic family! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! How are your lenten promises coming? No, I did not make a mistake in asking that question. True, Lent is over but we should still be reflecting on what we have learned during our time of lent. We should try to keep our Lenten promises even though Easter has passed.

God has done many wonderful things in each of our lives. We all have so many blessings that we take for granted every day. Jesus, the son of God, gave his life for us and not in a comfortable way either. The very least we could do for God is to try to extend our Lenten promises as much as we can. Taking time for God is something we should make a priority year round.

God must be #1 in our lives.

We, as Christians, should do our best to put everything else in our lives behind God. Taking the same focus and determination that we have during lent and stretching that out as long as we can is a step in the right direction.

After Lent promises are just as important as they are during Lent. These promises are what bind us to our faith and love in God. I pray that we all remember Jesus’ word and try to keep it in our hearts as we increase our time for God post Easter.
